A child of Italian rowing, Matteo Sartori rows in the wake of dad Alessio, the Sydney 2000 Olympic champion, and for the Paris 2024 Games has built a new double with Luca Rambaldi. Lazio class of 2002, Matteo is a young athlete among the rising champions of our sport.
In London 2012 I was 10 years old, glued to the television when my dad was doubles silver with Baptists. I cried my eyes out that day, and in Paris I would love to relive those emotions.
